Our class aim: Using the e5 model of explore, we as a class are now going to extend our knowledge on this topic and explore some areas of Natural Disasters that we do not yet know about, or that we would like to know more about. Through this model of explore we expect you to begin to use search engines to extend your learning on this subject, sign up for an assignment topic, and inform the class about your knowledge. Complete these tasks during this lesson. Procedure: 1. Pick a partner that you would like to work on a group assignment with.
2. Look at the topic options and sign up for your group topic here.
3. The program below is Wallwisher and can be used to place up facts that you know about your natural disaster topic. I have placed an example of the Natural Disaster 'Blizzard' to show you below.
(Click on 'post a sticky' if you would like access to the Blizzard Wallwisher)
Your task is to create your own Wallwisher page regarding your natural disaster. Review the MindMap and then watch the Youtube video below to show you step-by-step about how to create this. You will need to add as many sticky notes, images, and videos as you see fit.
4. Create your wallwisher page here.
Enable other students in the class to add to your wallwisher by ticking the boxes 'Everyone' for the questions 'Who can view?' and 'Who can post sticky notes?'. Either Read this aloud and/or show this to the class (you will need to give the other students your URL so that they can access your page) and ask the class if they know any additional information in relation to your natural disaster topic. 5. The other students in the class will do the same as you, help your classmates by giving them extra information in relation to their natural disasters.
